Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco design, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, is characterised by geometric precision, clean lines, and a synthesis of modern industrial materials with traditional luxury craftsmanship, often featuring vibrant enamel work.

Vintage scent bottles typically combine hand-cut or moulded clear glass bodies with precious metals such as sterling silver mounts, often decorated with translucent guilloche enamel over engine-turned metal bases.

Authentic pieces bear official hallmarks stamped into the metal, indicating the assay office, standard of silver purity, and date letter, alongside makers marks, while the enamel displays fine machine-turned engine-turned patterns under coloured glass.

Such decorative objects can be displayed on a mirrored tray atop a dressing table, within a glass-fronted cabinet, or on a bathroom shelf to add a subtle touch of vintage metallic texture and colour.

Silver components require periodic gentle cleaning with a non-abrasive polishing cloth to prevent tarnish, while enamel must be kept away from harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its colour and integrity.
