Victorian Gold and Silver Pique Bird Star Earrings

Beautiful large Victorian piqué earrings intricately inlaid with gold and silver in the form of two birds perching on oval hoops.

• Condition: In very good antique condition, no chips or cracks found, one tiny piece of gold missing above one bird's beak, see photos.

• Fixing: Ear wires which test as gold.

• Hallmarks/stamps: There are marks on the wires which could be a partial hallmark but they're not very legible.

• Era: Victorian (c.1837-1901).

• Size: 2.3 x 5cm, approximately 5.5cm total drop from the top of the ear wire.

• Weight: 7.2g.
