Description

This wonderful box is either a smaller biscuit box or a very large tea caddy; I think I would actually use it as a tea caddy to store modern day teabags; the perfect size and very usable; I had my silversmith professionally clean the interior to give a nice clean finish.

The oval shape is beautifully engraved with floral garlands joined back and front by ribbon above a vacant circular cartouche.

Either side is finished with an English lion's head with ring handles.

Exquisite, decorative and in excellent condition. 7" wide x 4 1/2" deep x 5 3/4" tall to top of finial crowning the hinged lid.
