A beautiful Norwegian solid silver hooked back sauce ladle. It is hallmarked with the 830 standard mark and the makers mark of Thorvald Marthinsen who was active between 1855 to 1933. I would date this piece to c1930''s. It has been beautifully designed to the Valdres pattern which was designed in c1932. It has a hook to its reverse for hooking onto a pot. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (17.5cm) long by over 2.25 inches (6cm) across and weighs 52 grams. A beautifully made piece.
