Description

A Lovely Antique Sterling Silver Egg Cup with Gilt Interior and a neat pedestal foot. A twisted rope-style border runs around the rim, giving a crisp decorative finish. The interior is gilded, creating a warm golden contrast to the bright silver exterior. The gilt wash is a traditional detail often used to protect silver surfaces and add visual richness. Hallmarked for Sheffield, 1918.

* It sits nicely on a tray alongside toast racks, salts, and other breakfast silver.
