Henry Birks was a silversmith and founder of Henry Birks and Sons. He was born in Montréal on the 30th of November 1840 and died on the 16th Apr 1928. For over 140 years, Birks has been a byword for luxury and elegance in Canada. Starting in Montréal in 1879, it has blossomed into a beloved national brand, celebrated for its exquisite jewelry and sterling silverware.
It is so very rare to have a piece of this history in the iconic infamous blue box- this must have been one of his first pieces to be housed in this original fitted box.

Superb condition, some signs of wear commensurate of age such as a few nibbles to the rear and surface of the stone
