ry earrings showcasing beautiful deep red rose-cut garnets, foiled to accentuate their glowing colour. The earring settings are gilded metal, the traditional setting in this type of jewellery, with solid nine-carat gold wires.

• Condition: The earrings are in excellent antique condition. The wires were likely added at a later date, the garnets may have started out in life as a larger piece of jewellery.

• Fixing: Integral nine-carat gold ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone "keepers" which can be fixed on the ends for extra security.

• Era: Victorian (1837-1901).

• Size: 1.8 x 1.5cm, 2.2cm tall including the wires.
