Each boar’s head bears full English hallmarks to the side of one hoof, including the maker’s mark, lion passant for sterling, and Birmingham assay marks. These knife rest have a good total weight to them - 267g of Sterling Silver! Hallmarked for London, 1867 and marked ‘DHCH’ for silversmiths ‘Daniel & Charles Houle’.
