An exceptional oversized Agra jail carpet from Northern India. This magnificent carpet is woven with all over palmettes in natural shades on a very rare and beautiful blue/green ground flanked by generous madder borders. This is a huge carpet with very thick pile all-over, some old, high quality repairs but very clean and floor ready. Late 19th century. An incredibly heavy, top flight item offered at a fraction of what the big city dealers would ask.
