Description

A wonderful example, this stunning English sterling silver box is set with a circular Tortoise Shell panel in the lid and in turn inlaid with the most exquisite and intricate pique inlay.

The lid fits well and the hinge in perfect working order; once opened, the original blue silk interior is revealed. The box stands on three winged feet in the form of a ball & claw form. The box is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 together with the makers initials L S for the renowned silversmith, Levi & Salaman.

Excellent condition and quality, measuring 3" diameter across the lid and stands x 1 5/8" tall.
