A 19th Century Japanese Enamel Cloisonne Vase Lamp, Meiji Period 44cm.
An exquisite red ground 19th century, Japanese Meiji period, enamel cloisonne vase, later converted to a lamp.
A rare red cloisonne vase from the 19th century, featuring a decorative blossom, floral scene with a native bird and layer converted to a lamp sometime in the early 20th century.
A fine quality cloisonne vase to lamp with a striking red ground colour, measuring 44cm to the brass bulb housing and supported upon a custom made, wooden round base.
The vase-lamp is in excellent structural and aesthetic condition, with a brass bayonet bulb housing, the lamp will require a rewire.
The lamp is available as it is, priced sensibly to reflect the rewire, we may end the listing and consign to our workshop for a rewire with a twisted, braided fabric cable, rocker switch and plug and issued with a new PAT test, we would then relist at a higher price, until then available.
