Lovely Victorian Pair of Silver Plate Spoons.

Description

Registered for 1897, a very attractive Victorian pair of heavy gauged silver plate spoons with repousse foliate band to oval bowl interior, as well as foliate and leafy design to shaped stems. They are contained in the original case having a striking interior.

Marked with makers marks for Charles James Allen and Sidney Darwin of Sheffield, England.

Also marked with British registration number 299656 for the year 1897.

Size-6 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide.

Weight-75 grams spoons only, 205 grams with case.

The spoons are of a heavy gauge, and lovely shape, and are very suitable for jams, preserves, relishes and sauces.

A pretty pair, with great case, and in very good condition.
