Victorian Silver Tray

19th century
Description

A good example of a large solid silver tray with an ornate repousse design of cherubs and a raised scalloped edge, most likely used on a dressing table. It is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 129g.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1896 and the makers Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks here and there and a few small dinks to the border but there are no major damages and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
