Catherines Antique Jewellery Box has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The locket is heart shaped with a pretty border and a fancy bow and bale. The locket is marked for 9ct back and front which means the inner parts are not gold. The locket is in excellent condition for its age with no dents or bashes and only light wear to the gold in accordance with age. It is a medium sized locket, the inside is in good usable condition with refurbished plexiglass and locket compartments on both sides. Closes well. A really great example of an antique locket. The total weight is 4.3g
