These Regency candelabras are made from porcelain with detailed gilt mounts, forming a matched left-and-right pair. Each piece depicts a turquoise blue glazed elephant mounted on an ornate, scrolling gilt base, carrying a vase from which five scrolling candle branches emerge. The gilt framework is decorated with applied porcelain flowers in shades of pink, yellow and white, interspersed with leafy branch details. The elephants wear decorative saddle cloths with fine dot moulding, and the candle holders and bases show elaborate casting work with a warm golden patina. Measuring 30 cm wide, 28 cm deep and 41 cm high, these candelabras work well as decorative mantelpiece ornaments or as a dramatic centrepiece on a dining or side table. They add a traditional touch to a living room, hallway or study interior.
