Catherines Antique Jewellery Box has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The locket is marked for 9ct back and front, which means the inner parts are not gold. The locket is in original condition inside with two empty spaces for pictures. The gold is brushed gold which gives it a matte finish. It is a lovely tactile object of good wearable size with a gold bale. The locket is in very good condition, the front is perfect the back has one tiny ding. I would say that this locket dates to the early 20th century around the 20s or 30s. It is a small to medium sized locket and I have photographed on a hand to give the scale. The inside is in good usable condition. Opens and closes well. The Total weight is 4.6g
