Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The George VI period spans from 1936 to 1952, characterised by traditional British silversmithing techniques, specific royal hallmarks, and a blend of classic forms with subtle art deco influences.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver, often featuring gilt interiors (wash of gold over silver) and solid cast or spun construction with hand-finished details.

Authenticity is verified through official British hallmarks stamped into the metal, indicating the assay office, standard of silver (such as .925 sterling), and the date letter corresponding to the monarchs reign.

A silver pot can be utilised as a functional centrepiece on a dining table, a decorative accent on a bookshelf, or a refined storage vessel on a dressing table to introduce metallic texture.

Silver should be cleaned gently using a dedicated non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals, and stored in a low-humidity environment to prevent tarnishing.
