Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco silver coffee spoons were produced primarily between 1920 and 1939, characterised by streamlined geometric shapes, bold linear motifs, and frequently decorated with colourful guilloche or champleve enamel on the handles.

These spoons were drop-forged or cast from sterling silver (925 purity) before vitreous glass enamel powder was applied into carved or engine-turned recesses and fired in a kiln at high temperatures.

Authentic British silver from the reign of George V features a lion passant mark for sterling silver, an assay office symbol (such as an anchor for Birmingham or leopards head for London), a specific date letter, and a makers mark.

Cased spoon sets are frequently displayed open on sideboards, within glazed dressers, or as part of a curated coffee station display to showcase the decorative enamel and original fitted velvet lining.

Silver sections should be gently buffed with a soft silver cloth, avoiding abrasive polishes near the enamel, while enamel elements should only be wiped with a damp, lint-free cloth to prevent chipping or loss.
