This is a very good quality and weighty George IV Georgian Sterling silver gilt oblong snuff box.

Initials to the cartouche on the lid.

Hallmarked for London 1828 by Charles Rawlings & William Summers.

It measures 7.5 cm x 3 cm x 2.5 cm and weighs approximately 69 grams.

Condition is very good for its almost 200 years, hallmarks are good, a few small dings, marks & scratches, gilding still bright, usual signs of wear commensurate of age and use.
