Each component within this Kuba Konagkend rug is expertly proportioned. Four tribal embelems anchor the corners of the field, whilst hexagonal boxes and several V-shaped pictograms are woven in-between. A stepped polygon acts as the focal point, featuring an enigmatic box that is flanked by two pairs of futuristic rocket motifs - something that is often seen in ''Dragon'' Sumac rugs. Furthermore, the bold reds and blacks inject the composition with a deep, dramatic intensity, complementing the colours on the minor borders. Despite displaying some unconventional design choices, this antique rug remains a striking piece that has the potential to enrich both traditional and contemporary interiors
