Most Surakhani rugs consist of three central medallions, so the fact that this rug has ten is quite unusual. Decorative flowers adorn the inside of these octagons, whilst a set of latch hooked diamonds ensure the piece maintains a balance and symmetry. Vivid colours really enhance the feel of this lovely piece. The ivory border is the perfect backdrop for the linked crab design. Obvious condition issues but still a desirable standout rug.
