A fine large Georgian bureau, dating from around 1810 and crafted in oak.

The fall front opens to reveal a well-fitted interior with drawers, cubby holes and a central cupboard, ideal for organising papers and stationery. Beneath are five graduating drawers, all sliding smoothly and offering generous storage.

The bureau displays a rich, original patina, developed over two centuries of polishing, giving warmth, depth and character to the wood. Solidly constructed, it remains both practical and elegant – perfectly proportioned for use as a working desk, including with a laptop.

Approximate measurements: height 103 cm, width 107 cm, depth 53 cm.

The bureau is offered in good antique condition, with historic knocks, marks and wear consistent with age.

Some wear to the legs, adding to its authentic antique charm.
