Description

A good example of an antique silver propelling pen and pencil. There are two sliding grips on each side, one for the pencil and one for the pen. It is a good quality piece and the outside is beautifully engraved with a chased foliate design and there is a dark red stone in the end.

There are no silver hallmarks and it would have been common to not mark pieces like this but it has been tested as silver and likely dates from the late 19th / early 20th Century.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and a few small dinks but nothing detrimental and it slides smoothly. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
