FAQs

Queen Anne revival furniture, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, features graceful cabriole legs, pad feet, and figured walnut veneers reminiscent of early 18th-century English designs.

These desks frequently utilise solid timber framing faced with figured walnut veneers, crossbanded borders, dovetail jointed drawers, and cast brass drop handles.

Look for fine dovetail joinery, natural patination on the brass hardware, authentic wood grain variation, and structural construction consistent with early 20th-century manufacturing.

Position the desk as a focal point in a study or bedroom, paired with a modern task lamp and clean-lined seating to contrast the rich timber grain.

Apply a high-quality beeswax polish annually along the natural wood grain, and position the piece away from direct heat sources or intense sunlight to prevent timber movement and fading.
