Description

A rare early 19th century set of solid silver and mother of pearl dessert or fruit knifes and forks, circa 1827 onwards. Offered in excellent overall condition, with no damage to the mother of pearl. The silver in remarkable condition with only a few nicks to the blades, commensurate with age and use. The forks are hallmarked as follows: x 2 John Nowill, Sheffield 1829, x 3 Sheffield 1827, x 1 Sheffield 1864. The knives are hallmarked as follows: x 5 Sheffield 1827 by Joseph Law, x 1 1838 by Atkin & Oxley
