Rare Georgian Hallmarked Silver Jockey Cap Caddy Spoon C.1798

A fine George III silver caddy spoon in the form of a jockey''s cap realistically modelled with alternating smooth and raised, ribbed panels and topped with a central oval button. It has partial marks to the side with the lion passant and the head of King George III. No maker''s letter but most likely made by Samuel Pemberton in Birmingham, c.1798.
 
It measures 5.4cm (2 1/8'') front to back, 3.5cm (1 7/8'') wide and 1.6cm (5/8'') high and weighs 9g / 0.3ozt.
 
In excellent condition with no damage, dents, or repairs and only minor handling wear. The button on top is unengraved.
