Catherines Antique Jewellery Box has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The largest diamond is 3mm 0.10ct in diameter and the 8 outer ones are 2mm in diameter or 0.03ct each and a further 2 x 2mm diamonds on the shoulders. The total diamond weight is therefore approx 0.40ct minimum. The diamonds are silvery white with an estimated colour L-M, estimated clarity approx. S1-2. The diamonds are set into 18ct gold and shaped into a pretty flower design with diamonds on shoulders. The face of the ring is 9mm in diameter. It is sparkly and pretty with a good strong 18ct gold band and markings for 18ct PLAT and dates to the art deco period or maybe a bit earlier. Would make a wonderful classic engagement ring. .
