This is a beautiful antique Venetian carved wood, gilt and polychrome decorated figural torchere on stand, Circa 1880 in date.

The torchere is modelled as a woman standing on an ornate cushion holding a dish in one hand and a light with flambeau glass shade in her raised right hand, on a parcel-gilt and faux marble wooden pedestal.

It is a very beautiful and rather unique example of Venetian art.

In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, waxed and rewired in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
