Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The cap has a bayonet style fitting which requires a turn and lift action and retains it's cork to the interior to prevent evaporation of the precious contents.
The removable cup also retains it's gold washed gilded interior protecting the silver.
Both the cup and cap are struck with the English hallmark for Sheffield 1908 making this a true Edwardian example. Both pieces also bear the makers initials J D & S for the famous silversmith James Dixon & Sons.
Excellent condition, measuring 5 1/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide. Quality and style.
