Description

Impressive large antique George II sterling silver lidded tankard with a stepped domed cover, chair back style thumb piece and scroll handle. The baluster shaped body has an empty floral engraved cartouche and reeded girdle. Standing on a circular rising foot. Very good original condition with matching marks on the base and cover.

Maker: William Shaw II & William Priest, London.
