Description

A lovely richly coloured antique signet ring with decorative heart and scroll engraving on the shoulders and a beautiful hand inscribed monogram (JA/AJ) to the front.

Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces.

SIZE: S-T (UK), 9 and a half (US). The front plaque measures approximately 1.1 x 1.4cm.

WEIGHT: 7.4g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat (625) gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Nice crisp hallmarks for 15-carat gold, Birmingham 1909. There is also a sponsor's mark but this is unclear.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition with normal surface wear for an antique item.

ERA: Edwardian, 1909.
