Touch of Time Antiques has dated this Coalport Painted Porcelain Plate to the 1900s.

Thomas Keeling was born in 1864 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. He started his career at Copeland and spent there a couple of years painting figure subjects on tiles. In the early 1900 he moved to Coalport where he worked for nearly a decade as a principal artist specialising in fruit, animal studies, figures and portrait heads.

The plate is signed 'T. Keeling, '01', titled and marked to the reverse with a green Coalport mark.
Dimensions: diameter – 23 cm.
Condition: excellent condition without any damage or repair, small amount of fine glaze crazing, mainly to the reverse of the plate and hardly any wear to gold.
