A rare late 19th century Chinese silver chain mail purse, with ornate engraved decoration featuring Chinese dragons and central vacant cartouche. This purse has two compartments, separated by mesh divider.

Hallmarked to the interior with marks for WC, presumably for Wing Chung (active c1850-1900).

In superb condition throughout, a quality example. Good weight:
