Antique Silver Pounce Pot

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of a solid Sterling Silver shaker pot, most likely a pounce pot but it could also have been for spices such as nutmeg or for salt or pepper. It is a good quality piece with a simple shape, a round foot, pierced top and a decorative finial. It weighs approximately 121g.

It is hallmarked for London, 1905 and the maker Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater

It is in good condition for its age. There are some signs of age and use, some light surface marks and minor dinks but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
