In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It stands on three shaped feet. The jug is stylish and good quality with a cartouche to the front which is faintly engraved with an armorial crest.
It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1841 and the makers C.T Fox & G.Fox. It weighs approximately 190g.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, minor dinks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
