Antique silver Omega pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega logo on the regulator. It is all protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of the original retailer of the watch, ‘W Devin, Hof-Uhrmacher, Karlsruhe 10’, Hof-Uhrmacher translates as Court watch maker, and Karlsruhe is a city in South West Germany.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are German hallmarks inside both of the case backs, together with the Omega mark and a mark for the Swiss principality of Gurzelen. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, some unevenness to the hinged case back. Originally there would have been a rose gold wash around the edge of the case but most of this has rubbed off over the years, leaving just a trace.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has a few very faint hairlines although difficult to see with the naked eye. Ornate hands (one is a period replacement).

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
