The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Silver Buren Pocket Watch to the 1910s.
The watch has a 7-jewel stem-winding movement, signed Buren, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for London (import mark), 1922 with an importer’s mark for William Henry Sparrow, who worked for H Williamsons and went on to become Buren.

The glass lens has small marks across it which are visible if you tilt the watch to the light.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, J G Graves of Sheffield. The dial looks very nice to the naked eye… if viewed through a jeweller’s loupe, there is a very faint hairline but it is difficult to see.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
