Rings from the early 20th century transition from the ornate floral motifs of the Edwardian era into the geometric precision of Art Deco, often featuring hand-crafted settings and distinctive diamond cuts.

Authentic pieces from this period were typically crafted from yellow gold, rose gold, or platinum, frequently housing hand-faceted diamonds secured in claw or bezel settings.

Authentication involves examining hallmarks for metal purity, checking for hand-cut stones such as old European or mine cuts, and identifying signs of hand-fabrication rather than modern mass production.

Pairing a historic ring with modern, minimalist bands creates a striking contrast that highlights the unique character and craftsmanship of the antique centre stone.

Regular professional inspection of the prongs is essential to ensure the stone remains secure, alongside gentle cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners.
