Edward VII Silver Spoon

1900 - 1920
Description

An unusual silver spoon, commemorating the coronation of Edward VII. The intricate handle has decoration featuring an English Rose, Irish Shamrock and Scottish Thistle around EVII. It has a large bowl with a scalloped edge and engraved decoration.

It is excellent quality and weighs approximately 53g.

It does not have a full set of hallmarks but has been tested as silver. It does have a maker's stamp for A.Willis & Co which matches a date of 1901.

It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

Approximate Measurements :

Length : 8 1/4” / 21cm

Bowl : 5.5cm x 7cm
