A fine early Victorian madeira decanter label in cast silver, nicely decorated with a textured vine leaf pattern and pierced lettering spelling out ''Madeira''. The label suspends from a 6 1/2'' silver belcher chain.
Fully hallmarked as silver by the London Assay Office, 1844, with the makers mark for Charles Reily & George Storer.
In super antique condition, this label would make a fine gift for a wine connoisseur.
