Superb American Sterling Silver Glass Bee Honey Jar Pot C1950 Stylish 428g

Description

A stylish American solid sterling silver and glass honey jar or pot. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of R. Blackinton & Co who operated from 1862 to 1967, I would date this piece to c1950s. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a bee hive and the handle on the lid being in the form of a bee. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The glass is complete and free from chips repairs and cracks. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (10.8cm) tall by 3 inches (7.6cm) across and weighs 428 grams complete. A very unusually designed piece.
