Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The solid silver spoons have pierced finials with the regnal initials EII topped with a crown and adorned with leaves, The coronation year, 1953, is engraved below.

The red case has a red velvet interior base and the inner lid bears the woven silk scene within a frame of cream silk.

Condition: the spoons and external case are in super vintage condition. The silk panel is in excellent condition but there is some yellowing to staining to the cream silk.

Hallmarks: Each spoon is hallmarked on the reverse of the bowl Sheffield 1952 and the Coronation mark depicting the Queen's head. The makers mark is that of Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd
