A rare English solid sterling silver rimmed glass match striker. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1917 with the maker being L&S. It has been superbly made from bubble glass and has an inscription relating to the offers mess of the Norfolk Regiment. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.4cm) tall and across and weighs 180 grams. A very interesting World War One era example.
