Edwardian Crystal and Sterling Silver Box - 1907

Description

The combination of the heavy simple crystal base and the ornate art nouveau repousse lid, is just wonderful.

The oval glass base is in near perfect condition with no chips or cracks, the only wear is some surface scratching to the base, which is expected and insignificant.

The pretty silver lid has a crimped edge and a superb floral and foliate repousse design, around a central cartouche, which is ready for engraving if desired.

The silver is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1907, over 100 years old. The makers marks are also present TW for the silversmith, T. Wooley.

A top quality box to grace any setting and in fabulous condition, measures 4" x 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" tall.
