This is a later 19th century example but nevertheless still has the presence and look of an original and even these later examples are getting harder to find.
This example has low pile with wear. Nevertheless still looks stunning hung on a wall,
Size is 5 foot 7 inches by 4 foot 1 inches. 170cm X 125cm. Very fine wool pile hand knotted onto very fine cotton foundations. Incidentally this rug looks equally as good on the back as it does on the front !
Interesting rug offered at very buyable money for the look !
