The Edwardian period spans from 1901 to 1915, characterized by delicate motifs, platinum settings, and high-carat gold work influenced by the tastes of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.

Jewellers frequently employed 9ct and 15ct gold, natural seed pearls, and semi-precious gemstones such as amethysts, peridots, and garnets to construct intricate thematic designs.

Authentic pieces often feature period-appropriate hallmarks, hand-twisted wirework, natural gemstone inclusions, and C-clasps or barrel catches typical of early twentieth-century manufacturing techniques.

Antique pendants work well when layered with contemporary chains or worn as a single statement piece against minimalist fabrics to highlight the historical craftsmanship.

Clean items gently with a soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips that may damage delicate seed pearls or porous gemstones.
