Antique English Cylindrical Dressing Table Box - Chester 1903

Description

One of the prettiest boxes of this type I have had in a while, the sides beautifully decorated with repousse scrolls interspersed with floral and foliate panels.

This design is followed through onto the domed lid surrounding a central vacant cartouche, which could be engraved with initials by your silversmith if desired.

The box is hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and struck in the year 1903. Excellent condition, measuring 3 1/4" tall with a lid diameter measuring 2 7/8".
