A wonderful Victorian Cranberry Glass and Silver Plate Claret jug dating to c1900.
Very much in the form of an elegant Amphora with a ribbed cranberry body. it has a silver-plated cap with a poring rim to the front and a flip lid. An elegant leaf handle to the rear. Circular clear glass, fully marked SP&Co. who were a Shefield Plate and Silver maker in the late 19th century.
