Edwardian silver typically features lighter, more delicate designs inspired by neoclassical and art nouveau motifs, moving away from heavy Victorian ornamentation.

These pieces were commonly constructed using sterling silver for the structural framework and casings, paired with blown glass for the central hourglass container.

Authenticity is usually verified through clear hallmarks stamped on the metal, indicating the assay office, makers mark, and standard of silver purity.

It can be placed on a desk, bookshelf, or mantelpiece to add a touch of historical craftsmanship and reflective metallic detail to contemporary spaces.

Silver should be cleaned infrequently using a soft, non-abrasive cloth formulated for precious metals to prevent damage to the surface and maintain its natural patina.
