Woven with exceptional colours over 110 years ago, this beautiful Malayer rug is very fine and full of wonderful detail and rare dyes.� The soft yellow dye for the large scale medallion, sits in-between the dark blue, almost black dyes.� Malayer weavers loved using pinks and greens too, this rug has a lot of green in it, and the pink border is rich and adds a great balance to whole piece.� A very decorative and elegant rug.Malayer is a large village located between the major weaving areas of Hamadan and Sarouk in Northwest Persia.
